[Divine love] is my shepherd; I shall not want.

[Love] maketh me to lie down in green pastures: [love] leadeth me beside the still waters

[Love] restoreth my soul [spiritual sense]

Christian Science Nurse Services

What a Christian Scientist has the right to expect from the Christian Science nurse attending them.

  • That they will receive wholehearted support of their desire to rely radically on Christian Science for healing; that the Christian Science nurses shall be members of The Mother Church who have a demonstrable knowledge of Christian Science practice themselves; that the Christian Science nurse will be steadfast in truth; that the Christian Science nurses will honor the work of the Christian Science practitioner on the case, with expectancy of healing.
  • That they will be treated with brotherly love, compassion, consideration, dignity, gentleness, kindness, patience, and respect; and with due regard for their safety and well-being.
  • That they will be given prompt and expert Christian Science nursing care, which will meet their need for comfort, cleanliness, proper nourishment, and suitable activity, in a manner consistent with the practical wisdom deemed necessary in the sickroom.
  • That their physical environment shall be clean, comfortable, suitably arranged, and with proper ventilation and lighting.
  • That to the degree that he or she either needs or requests it, they shall be furnished assistance with their study of Christian Science through the reading of authorized Christian Science literature and use of study aids available in Christian Science Reading Rooms.
