Merry Christmas from all of us at Clearview
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Here at Clearview Home, we have a light coating of snow. The trees are going up to be lovingly decorated at our holiday sing-along. We are planning holiday parties for patients and employees and Christmas music is being played on the TV in the living room.
We are celebrating the birth of Jesus and the emergence of the Christ thought into the world— a season of cherishing each other and ourselves. As you begin to look at the holiday festivities, remember to keep a little spot in your heart for cherishing the Christ-spirit in each other and in yourselves.
Be patient with yourself. Give yourself a few words of encouragement. Remind yourself it’s about the spirit of the season, not the material activities we have lined up. Look for the little indicators of God’s presence. Cherish a tender moment with someone in line with you. Don’t be fooled by negative comments, impatience, and frustration. Nurture, nourish, and take the time to care for yourself.
Christian Science nurses cherish and encourage patients they care for. This season take the time to “nurse” yourself with quiet, loving thoughts, words, and deeds of encouragement. Treat yourself the way you would treat your loved one—with patience and grace.
Ponder the encouraging words of Hymn 43 from The Christian Science Hymnal (below)
Much love to all of you this Christmas season!

Christian Science Hymnal, No. 43
Come unto me, ye weary,
And I will give you rest.
O tender words of Jesus,
Which come to hearts oppressed.
They tell of benediction,
Of pardon, grace, and peace,
Of joy that hath no ending,
Of love which cannot cease.
Come unto me, ye wanderers,
And I will give you light.
O loving words of Jesus,
Which come to cheer the night.
Come, all ye heavy laden,
And I will give you life.
O peaceful words of Jesus,
Which come to end all strife.
We are so blessed to have Abby come play for us each month.
