Season of Gratitude

November is upon is—where did the year go? As the weather turns colder in the upper Midwest thought turns to home, hearth, and comfort foods. We look back at the year and remember with gratitude all the good that happened. We also prayerfully consider lessons learned.

The power of gratitude has no limits. Gratitude brings us out of the depths of despair; prepares thought for inspiration; and brings healing. Many years ago, gratitude over several months prepared my thought for healing, and healing came.

This month I had the pleasure to speak with two former patients about their gratitude for what they received at Clearview Home. They both shared a love for the kitchen staff and the wonderful meals served at Clearview. They expressed their gratitude for the office and support staff. One individual commented that they didn’t know much about Clearview before coming here. They went on to say that each Christian Science nurse was different but that they all were loving, kind, supportive and “knew what they were doing.” The other individual felt that coming to Clearview “saved their life.”

We are grateful to be able to participate in healing!

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” (Mal 3:10)

“For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened: But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:” (2 Cor 8:13.14)
