Weaving a Rich Tapestry

Let’s weave a rich tapestry of community, healing, and philanthropy.

In our full, day-to-day lives we sometimes think of our lists, piles, due dates, etc. and feel overwhelmed about getting it all done, and wonder whether it even has any meaning. But that’s the back of the tapestry – the knots and loose threads – the mortal view. What God sees and knows is the front of the tapestry. The beauty, rich fibers, and interwoven scenes are reality. Clearview Home is located in that part of the tapestry that expresses the upper Midwest region of our country, full of light, love, and harmony.

Perhaps some of the fibers of that tapestry had become worn or dull, but with the new building and organization, it again shines and heals. Christian Science nursing is a seamless garment. Like a tapestry, it has many connections, weaving us together and uniting those who care with those who need care. Each one of us helps and is necessary to make that tapestry whole and exquisite. Clearview Home provides a sanctuary for Christian Science healing, and every staff member is praying to uphold that healing ministry.

In seamless gratitude I weave / A silent, healing prayer, / With shining threads of ceaseless joy; / For man is God’s great heir. (Christian Science Hymnal, # 146)

Thank you for a being a shining thread in our tapestry of healing! Please read on for important announcements:

2019 Annual Campaign and Wish List

Our Matching Campaign represented a specific need, but does not fulfill the yearly budget gap.

Giving opportunities are still available. The 2019 Annual Campaign is needed now, as in past years, to support our general operations and readiness to serve.

We are very appreciative of your unrestricted donations, however we can understand that you may be inspired to give for certain ongoing expenses or special purchases. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Upgrade of our Visiting Christian Science nurse car – a very good condition Subaru, or up to $15,000
  • Handsomely upholstered armchairs – for our CS nurse housing, or up to $500
  • Artwork – to grace our patient rooms and halls, or up to $300
  • Give monthly to help supply our patient rooms – paper products cost $95/month
  • Costs of Christian Science periodical subscriptions, music, and books

Contact Lynn Meyerson, Director of Development and Communications, if you have question or other ideas.
