Harmonious and Active

Nature is giving us the most gentle and profound messages as signs of spring sprout up in many places. The Wisconsin spring is not much different than New England’s, of which Mrs. Eddy says,

“The floral apostles are hieroglyphs of Deity.
Suns and planets teach grand lessons.
The stars make night beautiful, and the leaflet turns naturally towards the light.
In the order of Science, in which the Principle is above what it reflects, all is one grand concord.”
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures
240:6–11)

We can find such comfort while considering our natural surroundings and recognizing that the cause of the world emergency is unknown to them. We can also feel so grateful to be able to enjoy our yards, byways, and parks freely despite other restrictions. This natural beauty does help us understand the reign of God in a kingdom of joy, harmony, and power. This spiritual atmosphere is ever-present.

A student of Christian Science is upheld and comforted by the control of Spirit. Christian Science nurses reflect the qualities of Soul, Spirit and bring them to their work of providing a healing atmosphere – whether in a facility or home. How grateful we are for their dedication! Clearview Home is caring for its patients and staff and witnessing healing, as they also comply with all current mandates. Please be assured that the current state of emergency does not detract from our mission, but if anything, heightens it. The Clearview Home Mission is to shine the light of Love and healing through Christian Science nursing. Natural light is a glorious metaphor for the healing illumination here at Clearview Home and right where you are now.

One of the many qualities of light, is a sense of unity and universality – it shines on all of us. And our need of light is a connection we can all share. You were probably wondering when I’d get to a response to the “social distancing” we have been advised to maintain. Well, distance can not keep us apart when we are one with God, who shines on us all. And practically we can connect in many ways. Since we are postponing our Annual Gathering until the fall, Clearview Home would like to invite you to a new meeting—Chairside Chats. Using your phone or wi-fi device, sit down with your favorite hot drink for some friendly conversations.

You are invited to 30-minute Chairside Chats
on Wednesdays at 11 a.m.

The first one on April 1 is called “Prayer Nuggets and Service Info.”
Starting with inspiring ideas that Christian Science nurses use at times like these, we will share inspiration and some practical information about how Clearview can help and how you can help each other.

We plan to cover a variety of topics. Subsequent Chairside Chats will include “So you want to be a Christian Science nurse? – Options and Opportunities,” “Christian Science Nurse Bylaw – how can we value it?,” “Volunteer Opportunities – near and far,” and one to which Sunday School children will be invited. We will post the schedule and details on our website.

Volunteer Opportunities

Where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name – love blooms

There are leaves, lawns, garden beds, and woods that need some loving attention. If you are looking for exercise, we have a few outdoor tasks to do. Please contact Lynn Meyerson to arrange a time. Volunteers are not allowed in the main building, but you may meet Lynn at the cottage or garage to get the right tools.
